Who keeps the ledger

The controller for personal data processed through saltlinereels.com is the operator of saltlinereels.com. Contact: [email protected].

What the crew record holds

What is kept	What for	How long it stays
Nickname	Giving you a name on the dock	Until the account is closed
Email address	Telling accounts apart so you can log back in	Until the account is closed
Password hash	Letting you log in while the password itself never sits here	Until the account is closed
Sign-up date	Answering you, and dealing with misuse	Until the account is closed

That is the entire list. We never ask for your real name, your address, your date of birth, your phone number or any payment detail, because there is nothing on this dock to pay for. Your password is held only as a one-way hash. Lawful basis: performance of a contract, which is to say the account you asked us for. Close the account and all of it goes at once; the button sits on your account page.

What the browser keeps to itself

What is kept	Job it does	How long it stays
Coin tally, level, missions and game settings	Picking your game up again	Until this browser is cleared out
Age confirmation	So the question is not put twice	Until this browser is cleared out
Cookie choice	Holding on to your answer	Until this browser is cleared out

All of that stays on your own device and never travels to us.

Google tags, only if you nod them through

Choose "Accept all" and we run Google Analytics and Google Ads tags that count visits and show whether our adverts lead to play, a first spin for instance. Google is given your IP address, your device information and those events. Choose "Essential only" and the same tags run in consent mode, with no cookies and no advertising identifiers. Lawful basis: consent.

What the server jots in its own log

Our host keeps the usual request logs for a short while, for security. Lawful basis: legitimate interests.

What this cannery will never do

Never any payment data: there is nothing on sale.
No marketing email unless you ask for it yourself.
Your data is neither sold nor rented to anyone.
Nothing passed to gambling operators, and no gambling affiliate links on the dock.

Your rights at the dock office

At any time you may see your data, correct it, erase it, restrict or object to our processing of it, and withdraw your consent. Closing the account from your account page erases the account data straight away; clearing this site's data in your browser clears what is left. Complaints go to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada at priv.gc.ca.
