Let it stay a day on the dock

Why a free game still says 19+

Social casino games borrow the look, the sound and the pacing of real gambling. Saltline Reels is meant only for adults over the legal gambling age and is not aimed at anyone under 19. Age is confirmed twice: once on the banner that meets you, and again as a tick you make when the account is created.

What will never happen here

• Put real-money gambling on the dock, or promote it.
• Give out anything of real-world value as a prize.
• Sell coins, or bolt on in-app purchases.
• Point you at gambling operators or affiliates.
• Use countdowns or streaks to push you back to the reels.

One straight word across the gutting table

A free game can be tuned to feel generous, and it refills your tally for nothing. Real-money games do neither. Doing well out here says nothing about how you would fare with money on the table.

Signs to watch for along the planks

• Staying at it far longer than you meant to.
• Feeling short-tempered once you stop.
• Spinning to get out from under a mood.
• It is eating into sleep, work or the people around you.
• You catch yourself hunting for a real-money version.

Keeping your hand on the winch

• Settle on how long you will play before the first spin.
• Leave autoplay switched off.
• Step off the dock at regular intervals.
• Clearing this site's data resets the lot, and your device settings can block the dock outright if you want done with it.
